Full Version: runtime error in set up script

I have tried to install Ad Aware AE at least 5 times now and keep getting the same error message, runtime error in set up script, line 725 failed to set data for display icon, any suggestions to resolve this issue ???, I am using Windows XP Home Edition
I found this response walk around by Casey Boy, Thanks worked like a charm, weird issue
- Click Start > run > type Regedit.exe
- Click File > Export > Save to your desktop as backup
Now we'll add the key. - Double click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and it should expand showing more folders.
- Then double click on each of these folders in order SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Uninstall
- You should then see a blank space to the left which has one entry in it called Default (there may be a couple more).
- Right click in the space > New > Key
- A new folder will be created (probably called new key 1), rename it to Ad-Aware
- Right click on the folder and click Permissions
- Click on the Administrators group at the top and tick the box which says Full Control
- Click OK > then close the registry editor.
- Restart
