Problem
Yesterday when i had finished running Ad-aware AE Free edition.. somehow all my other programs ( I even mean system restore, disk clean up ) except Ad-aware would work. Every time I clicked a icon to launch a program I retrieved the message " such and such a file is not a valid win32 product " but ad-ware in the other had worked by assumption Ad-ware caused it (note some of the programs I was trying to run were working before the Scan ) the reason I came to assumption Ad-aware caused this error was I rebooted thinking it might fix it, when my Pc started up out of all the programs that are selected to start up Ad-aware was the only one to work.

Fix
I managed to open the Program Compatibility wizard and search for this file rstrui.exe (system restore) the compatibility wizard repaired to be used, I launched a restore, System Fixed (not a very tedious task to remedy)

Scanned with
- ESET Nod32 4
- Malwarebytes Anti malware
- hijackthis

No Malware/virus/malicious files found

You might be thinking " ok so you fixed it what are wanting? " I'm simply making you aware it happened, it might not have been Ad-aware but then it might have, i just want too see if you can look into it and try too the best of your ability so it doesn't happen too some else not as tech savy as myself smile.gif ( i care for everybody what can i say )

Hey,

Sounds like you had fun sorting this out...not!

Did you or Ad-Aware delete anything after the scan?

To Casey boy - Oh yes I had brilliant fun fixing it and no it found nothing and I didn't delete anything I was in about to launch WinMTR ( had it open multiple times before) too test my DSL for congestion and then I got the warning message as stated above.

To Visitor - Windows XP home edition with SP3 with all updates installed that are released smile.gif
