Hi! My computer has become infected by Proof Defender in the past couple of weeks, resulting in Outlook being corrupted all the time. I was hoping that Ad-Aware could remove it, but I am unable to run AAW as I keep getting the above message when I initiate it. Could you possibly help me?

Hi,
This is a known issue and is because you have not updated your Windows installation. You need Windows XP SP2 or higher to run Ad-Aware.
However, you should not update at the moment since you have a malware infection. So please follow the instructions in my signature and post a HJT log in the HJT forum for analysis. They will tell you when it is safe to update Windows.
Once you have the all clear and have updated to Service Pack 2 or 3, reinstall Ad-Aware and you should be good to go.
