Ad-Aware is running, but stalls when it scans it's own .exe file. Anyone have the same issue? I'm not using Norton so that can't be the issue. I'm using McAfee and I highly doubt that's the problem

Have you tried disabling McAfee or scanning just the Ad-Aware.exe file? There was another user here that was unwilling to disable McAfee for the process of elimination. I don't have it and succeed in scanning the Lavasoft folder.
