I have just installed Ad-aware anniversary edition again.I tried it the first time as a upgrade to the older version. I did the reboot after installation. It auto loads and will only scan to 4068 objects scanned. After this it will sit there. I let it sit for 5 hours with no progress. After this i tried a clean boot and a scan. Still got the same thing. Next I tried uninstalling, cleaning the registery. Reinstalling it again. Still have the same issue.

Most likely a conflict with another security program - do you have any others installed?

I have Norton 2009, and Avast installed. I left the Norton til i get the paid subscription up. Then i am dumping. Because it let viruses in. I installed Avast and it caught them. So I wanna stay with it. Thats it. Thanks,

On some systems there is a conflict between Norton and Ad-Aware.
