Fellow users, help me!!!
I have been battling 66 malware infections while having an up to date ADAware library.. I have spent almost two days troubleshooting and Ad Aware never even saw one of these. SO desperate for a solution a friend told me to use Malwarebytes and its free version fixed my 66 malware objects in less than an hour.

Any ideas on what I may have done wrong with Ad Aware, or is it just junk.

Can you remember what the malware was? Do you have a scan log from Malwarebytes?

Cheers,

Casey

Thank you.

I will ask a Lavasoft employee to have a look at this for you.

It's possible you picked up a new variant we haven't received, but to determine if you did something wrong using Ad-Aware it would sure help to see the Ad-Aware scan log. Could you please see if you can locate it and attach the log to a reply here

For Windows XP and 2k, the location of the logs is here:

Ad-Aware 2007 users:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware 2007\logs\Ad-Aware<date information>.log

Ad-Aware 2008 users
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware\logs\Ad-Aware<date information>.log

Ad-Aware AE users
XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware\Logs\Scan_<date information>.log
Vista - C:\ProgramData\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware\Logs\Scan_<date information>.log

To upload the file, click on the Browse button within your post, navigate to the log file's location, select the file then click the green UPLOAD button.

Note: On Vista systems the path location is: C:\ProgramData\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware\Logs
