What is boot cleaner and how do I control it? (options). I found a log file (aaw7boot) containing run times of something called Boot Cleaner. On another forum I was told it was part of AD Aware AE, which I have recently installed. Is this true? is Boot Cleaner a Ad-aware function? Thanx for any info smile.gif

Yes it is. Boot Cleaner is used to remove stuborn threats which can't be removed whilst your computer is in use, so instead they are removed when Windows loads. I have asked about why the file is saved in the C: drive rather than the Ad-Aware folder, but apparently there is nothing Lavasoft can do about it.

Thanks for the info. I'm always weary when things appear on my hard drive that I don't know about.
