Hi

I can't seem to find Adaware SE Professional on this forum. Has it changed its name?

My issue is that when I try to update my definitions - which were 160 days old - I get an thismessage 'error retrieving update'. Does anyone know how I can manaully update the definitions? I can't find my product on the Lavasoft website.

Ad-aware SE is now obsolete, the last definitions were March 30. If you upgrade to the new AE, to prevent problems, do a clean uninstall of SE first. You can do this yourself if you're experienced with finding/deleting folders, files, and registry entries; or you can use programs like these useful free tools. Revo Uninstaller on the highest setting will remove all traces of Lavasoft/Ad-Aware before you reinstall. Also, I find it best to stop all running processes before installing any software.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't realise SE versions were obsolete.
