I have had problems with PC and Ad-Aware would not run. They sent me a new download.
I ran the download and started the scan. I had to stop before it could finish. It ran ~ 2 minute when I canceled. It appeared to be performing the scan. ~ 7 hours later I changed a few settings on protection and reinitiated the scan. It took ~ 10 minutes to get definitions update.

I then initiated the FULL system scan The scan did not restart and I received the following:

System error: 1814

I authorized an error message but it could not report back to you.

got the following

and then the following note:

Component TLVFOCUS CTRL

Message:

Access violation at address: 00557F9F in module
'Ad-Aware 2007.EXE'.
Read of address: 00000004

Can you reply directly to my Email Address?

Are you sure your license is still valid? Ad-aware 2007 is nearly obsolete and users are advised to upgrade to AE. I recently discussed this with someone from Lavasoft, and they haven't sold through Element 5 for quite some time.
