Hi,

I am using MalwareScannerPRO v1.5 along with ad-aware AE. There were no issues, but today malwarescannerpro detected a virus on my system which Adaware didn't. Before fixing that virus i thought i should take your views on this. virus name is "Virus.DOS.Corrupted.Joker01" and file is :c:\windows\explrer.exe

To be on the safe side I would quarantine the item.

Sorry for the late reply. I was on business tour and didn't get time to check this post.

Yes, I did the same as you suggested and that detection was right. I checked that file on VirusTotal and it was a virus. Now I have registered my copy of MalwareScannerPRO and come to know from their support that they are about to release v2 of their product (now days their site is down because of change in hosting server). I hope i have not wasted my money.
