I just recently downloaded and installed the new AdAware on my son's computer. The scan will run for approximately 8-12 seconds, then AdAware shuts down. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it twice, that doesn't help. How do I fix this?
We downloaded it due to a problem with the internet, he has an about.blank issue that is preventing him from going online. (We downloaded AdAware on my computer, saved it to a disk, and installed it on his.)

It's highly likely that your malware infection is interfering with Ad-Aware. As such, I suggest that you read the instructions in my signature and post a HJT log in the HJT forum for analysis. Someone will be able to help you with manual removal.
