Would anyone know Ad-Aware Plus all licensable versions release dates?

Well Ad-Aware AE plus is already released, but if you mean the new version which is currently in beta testing then the date is currently not available. Originally it was aimed for 25th August but there has been a delay.

I mean all previous licensable versions release dates. Like version history, but not for minor releases. I need to see if there are enough licenses and will upgrades/maintenance cover them.

I was also wondering was Ad-Aware 4.0 the first version which included Plus Edition? Didn't it replace Ad-Aware with Ad-Watch? I might be totally wrong.

Ahh. Well. I can;t give you exact dates since there is no record of this (at least not a public one).

However, FileHippo has a good list with dates but that only goes back to SE; so I can;t be sure about which was the first version.

Ad-Watch has never, as far as I know, replaced Ad-Aware. Ad-Aware has included Ad-Watch as a real-time protection function.

By the way, this cannot be true: "Free Lifetime upgrades means that you will get all future updates of Ad-aware plus for free for the rest of your life." (Not related to the original question)
I thought that with Ad-Aware Plus you would require purchase for every major release?

The link is outdated. You must have used an old bookmark - I could not navigate to it from the homepage, although the homepage is also outdated since it has Ad-aware SE which is also obsolete. Many people think "lifetime" means forever which is unrealistic. In software terms, "lifetime" refers to End of Life (EOL), after which the product is no longer supported.

The longest license Lavasoft offers is 3-yr. SE is obsolete and 2007 is almost, as users are advised to upgrade now. After expiry of the license, users should not expect product support. I'm not sure if tweety is/was an official partner, but you can't expect Lavasoft to be liable for errors on a third party website.

Wouldn't this "End of Life" then mean that all Ad-Aware Plus versions are covered?

As I am only looking for Ad-Aware Plus release dates, do you know if 4.0 was the first Ad-Aware to include Plus edition? At least I can't find 3.0 by Googling it.

Also I'm not sure if all Ad-Aware editions are released at the same time?

I'm afraid I'm not sure about whether or not 4.0 had a plus version. sorry.

However, I am sure that when a new Ad-Aware is released that all versions are released - since all versions are installed using the same installer and its just the licence key which the user enters (or doesn't enter) which determines the features the user is entitled to.

No. For example, all Ad-aware SE has reached EOL (Free, Plus, and Pro). Next, when all licenses for Ad-aware 2007 expire, there will be no more support, regardless of whether it's Free or paid Plus or Pro.

Now I have release dates for different Ad-Aware versions, and if all editions are published at the same time I would only need to know which was the first version of Ad-Aware that was released in Plus Edition. Would you be able to help me with that?

(and each have Pro and Plus editions)

Was there a separate edition to SE that was release before it? I understand that the first version of SE was
1.04 released in 2004, but what are then these other Ad-Awares that were released before it?
