I was wondering how do I stop ad-watch from giving me the same notifications that I have previously allowed?

I'm not familiar with AAW 2008, but check your settings and results lists to see if there is an option to remember your decisions or not to notify. If not, you might consider upgrading to AAW AE since there are 3 notification levels: none, only important, or all. Also, a new version of AAW is scheduled to be released in early Sept which should have the same level of control over notifications.
