I tried 2 to 3 times to install the new versions of AE at place of AE 2007 : each time, I have the following message
(in french):
"AAWDriverTool.exe-Point d'entrée introuvable
Le point d'entrée de procédure HeapSetInformation est introuvable dans la bibliothèque de liaisons dynamique KERNEL32.dll "
Question 1 : Is it possible to have a translation of that "charabia " in an "everyday language"

I get the same message when I try to run AdAware.

I deinstalled AE via Windows Install/deinstall progr, unsuccessfullly ; I tried with the tools WICO and then REVO uninstaller as given by member GoddersUK , and install the version AE plus with no more success

Question 2 :What is the solution to the problem?

Hi,

What you need to do is install the latest updates for Win 2000. You must have Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4 (KB891861) installed for Ad-Aware to run.
