I am getting the error "Unable to uninstall old version of Ad-Awar. Please uninstall it yourself using Control Panel Add-Remove Programs before attempting to install this product"

I have obviously done that and have gone into the registry and deleted everything Lavasoft related. However, I am getting about 3 sections all labeled the same that it won't even let me delete/modify in the registry?

I have used all virus scans and come back clean including the one recommended by Lavasoft here on the forum. ESET http://www.eset.eu/eset-online-scanner

The files are labeled as:

LEGACY_LAVASOFT_AD-AWARE_SERVICE

They have a drop down + with 0000 and 2 additional files that can't be deleted either "DeviceDesc" and "Service"

Any suggestions?

That doesn't really apply because it speaks of deleting all your fragments including your registry files. I am unable to remove those select registry files.

Basically what you're experiencing is a known problem. Unfortunately, it's a bit difficult to fix since it's not actually a Lavasoft problem rather its a problem which affects Lavasoft.
