Hi, since I have installed Ad-Aware AE, there is a log file in the root folder: aaw7boot.log
I think it's something about the boot cleaner.
If I delete the file, the next time I reboot the system it is created again.
Finally, I set the file hidden attribute to yes.
Is there any problem in whatever I do to this file?
Why is located in C:/?
Perhaps it's a bug?

Thanks a lot, and sorry for my bad english!!! rolleyes.gif

Hi,

I personally think it's a bug and reported it a long time ago as one - however I never heard back about it. I have just left it there now because it is always created again on boot up.

I might try and chase that up and see if Lavasoft get back to me about it,

Casey

I have heard back about this file:

QUOTE(LS Laleh)
This is the log file for deleting infections during reboot and unfortunately cannot be moved to any other directory than the root directory.

Thanks for reporting

So look like nothing will happen with regards to it. I'll close this topic now.
