Frustrated. Used to have AdAware Plus, the license expired although it never told me so, just switched to Free, which I didn't notice for awhile.
Upgraded and paid for AdAware Plus Anniversary Edition, installed it a week ago. Installed fine. Ran a scan, worked fine, found some viruses and such, removed or quarantined them as suggested. Rebooted when required.
At random times AdAware disappears off the tray (by the clock). When I bring it back up, it says no scans have ever been run.
Also, I can't find any support that doesn't cost $20. Irritated that they want me to pay for customer support for their product which isn't working properly. I can't even find an email link.
I have Windows XP SP2, IE7, and use Spybot 1.6.2.0, Eset NOD32 Antivirus 3.0.642.0, and Prevx 3.0
My thanks for any help or suggestions.

Update: The scans are finding a virus called DR/DelphiGen. It suggests quarantine. I do so, and it says something like "A malicious object of high severity detected and cleaned. Reboot required." I do the reboot, and the virus is still there.
How do I remove this virus? Maybe it's what is causing AdAware to drop off of the tray.

Just to add as well, if you have a reoccuring malware problem which Ad-Aware cannot successfully remove or quarantine then please read the instructions in my signature and post a HJT log in the HJT forum for analysis.

Lavasoft Customer Support, even after I log in, expects me to pay to ask them questions. I already paid for the product. Every single "customer support" link takes me to the same page. If I try to get live support, it wants me to pay.
I did finally find a place to send them an email, and have done so. I will also follow the link provided above to report a malicious object that can't be removed. Thanks.
