I have Ad-Adware 2008 FREE Edition. Since last week, it will go to the updates screen and act like it is going to download file definitions, but the download never comes. Right now my definitions are at 0148.0035

Is Ad-Aware no longer offering definition updates for it's free edition?

I already have great antivirus software and am afraid that if I download Ad-Adware Anniversary Edition, I will have to delete my current antivirus software because the two antivirus softwares will crash my system.

HI everyone - some of us are updating now. How you all going?

Nah!!! Mine still will not update... Now it gives me either one or two error messages. The first message says: Are you using this application as another user?

The second error message says: Cannot connect to server.


I am the administrator of my computer..

Could Ad-Aware staff please let us know if they are continuing to support Ad-Aware 2008 FREE Edition?

I decided to try to update ad-aware 2008 FREE one more time before shutting down for the night.... It works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's all good!!!! Please try to update your definitions again. I am sure they will go in. Ad-Aware FREE rocks and is still in business.

As of June 9th, the definition file is called 0148.0048
