I finally got my password in my email today and can post!! (been Beta testing for 2 years and signed up for Support Boards 2 years ago too??)

Anyway, now that I can post - After an update a couple weeks ago (sorry since I couldn't post, I don't remember exactly when), AdAware AE gets additional updates just fine, however it then says "Reinitializing Components" and AdAware shuts down. Before that update, it was working fine. I read through most of the posts and didn't see this issue anywhere else. Am I the only one? It's not a HUGE deal as I can double click and restart the program, but any ideas why this is happening and is there a solution?

Also - was the Anti-Virus engine included as a glitch in the beginning? Cause I noticed it is grayed out now as well, however I do still get updated AV Defs. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

after re-initializing AE reduces to sys.-tray ( service is still running), that's intendedly.
You may check it with your task-manager.
Right-click the icon and a quick/short GUI appears.
AV-protection is not a part of the Free version
