I have read in past postings that this issue was fixed with the current file def 0146.0006 for Ad-Aware2008, my current def file is now 0148.0029 and yet each time I run the scans this comes up each and everytime.

Name: Win32.TrojanSpy
Type: File
Catefory: Virus
Object: C:\System\Volume information\_restore.....etc.

Ran SpyBot, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, AVG 8.5, Remove it pro, Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal tool KB 890830-V2.10.exe and all reports clean. But when I run Ad-Ware it reports the same each time.

Like I said it was reported in past postings that this was fixed or has it been?? Ad-AW 08 been doing this from last updates.

Please let us know if this is needs to be looked into or will their be a fix? smile.gif

Hi brojimbo,

Could I ask you to upload the log file of the scan that detected this file? You can find some instructions here:

Thanks!

I actually had something like this too. Look really close at your log. I was runnning McAffee, Adaware, and Malwarebytes. I kept seeing it show up. Then I realized (after I'd run each of them twice) that each product was seeing the worm in the other project's quarantine file. Essentaully, they were passing the corpse of this thing back and forth between them.
