Hi,

I put a couple of attachments on another thread today. I tried viewing them to make sure I had uploaded the correct files.

When I clicked on the attachments (download) to check I got the following error message

Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available.

Well I was logged in, so why can't I view my attachments or for that matter anyone else's.

I tried downloading attachments that I had put on previously (just before christmas) and they opened ok.
I also tried downloading n attachments put on by other members in the past couple of days but I got that error message for them also.

Any idea what the problem could be?

Hi Razeil

I think you may have misunderstood my post.

I don't have a problem uploading my attachments. It's after I've uploaded and made my post that I have a problem. If I click on one of my attachments (this also applies when I click on other members attachments) to download/view it. I get the error message shown in my first post.
I am logged in when I try to do it but to no avail.

For example, this picture shows 2 files I attached to a post on another thread, when I click on it to download /view it, I get the "no permission error (same with other members attachments.

I am confused (my normal state)

I presume you were trying to download the attachments from your topic in the false positive forum?

If so, then reason you cannot download them is a security feature. Since users are posting potentially dangerous files in that forum we don't want other users to download them and infect their computers. Only the Lavasoft staff can download files from that forum.

I know the error message isn't really helpful!
