We have Windows XP and are in an administrator and user mode with passwords for each user. Some of the users are experiencing long run times for Ad-Aware full scans - up to 1 hr 45 min. Others can run a full scan in 10 min. Nothing is running when the scans are running and no one is working on the computer. What is the problem with long running scans?

It takes 2-1/2 hrs to do a full scan on my system with an almost full 80gb hard drive. I'm no expert, but could it be your long scans are those done by administrator, with full system access, and the shorter scans done by users with limited access? My quick scans take 2-3 mins - 10 mins seems very short for a full scan, so either very little data, or the user permissions are probably limiting what's scanned.
