Full Version: Auto-restart after update not working

Since installing Ad-Aware AE Free Edition when ever I ran an update the program would auto-restart after the update(s) had downloaded and installed... this no longer happens, I have to now manually re-start the program after running updates.

I have been in contact with the developers about this and, at the moment, it is actually intended behaviour. However, I have suggested it be changed and it has been submitted as a usability improvement. That's not a gaurantee it will become a feature though.

So they've changed it from auto-restart to not auto-restart after the update tool installs the updates then closes Ad-Aware?

after the notice : reinitialize components
the Ad-Watch Icon will appear, that means : the AAW service has re-started also the AAW tray.exe
and the quick GUI is available = auto re-start accomplished !
Only the main GUI ( settings incl,) doesn't appear, cos it makes no sense to restart a second GUI
Maybe the pic makes it a bit clearer.
