Adaware v8.04 anniversary edition, CloneDVD v4.3.0.2, Windows Vista Home Premium, SP1, Compaq Presario C700 Notebook:
Inserted DVD to make a backup copy and received following "Block" alert from Adaware:
[exported log file]
MSG [1032] 2009/05/04 12:36:25: C:\program files\clonedvd\burnerdetector.exe (diagnosis: Malware family: Win32.Dialer.Agent) => Block
I use clonedvd about once or twice a month, make a single backup of all my discs and keep them in the cases with the originals (my son is awesome, and tries really hard to take out the movies as carefully as he can, and not leave them lying around, but all too often, greasy fingers and an abundance of scratches ruin at least 2 - 3 discs per year. As of 4 months ago, this became my solution to that problem, um, at least when it comes to keeping the originals 'in tact'). I have never seen this error before. I chose to 'Heal' the error, but got no response. I then clicked: Remove Threat As Power User and opted to quarantine the file. However, the file still sits in the directory where it was. Trying to determine if this was a false positive or not. Please let me know if I need to file more data. Thank you for your time -
