I have a problem with the Lava Se starting a scan and then freezing (becoming non-sesponsive). It started a few weeks ago after well over 2 years of use and I think 2 program upgrades. The scan starts and then freezes about file # 3450 or 3500. Exact file number waries a few by file count number each attempt. It is alway still in the program files. Has froze 1-3 times on files I don't remember. But mostly and the last few freezes are either on a Norton 2006 .dll file or a webroot/spy sweeper/SSU .exe file. When it first started happening, I un-installed the program, then down loaded same program from web site and installed (run). Did not help. First scan I ran froze in the same place. Both norton 2006 and spysweeper load at boot. Been doing this for over a year and no troubles. I run a clean and well monitored machine. Do updates at least once a week or auto and run 3 scan check programs. Adaware is the last scan I run, and it generally get about 8 objects. Then do a window wash with bleach. I could un-install adaware, but I had rather get program doing a full scan again. I am not in any bind as rest of system programs are working fine.

Any suggestion would be much appreciated. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

sjcaruthers,

there is currently a confliction between spysweeper and ad-aware.

You will need to temporarily disable spysweeper and then run your ad-aware scan again. Let us know if that solves your problem.

If it does you might be interested in a members post who found a way to work around the conflict.

PatB,

Did you have a question? You just quoted what sjcaruthers said.
