I have Lavasoft personal firewall 2.0 and just bought the new edition but when I go to install it, it cannot uninstall the previous 2.0 edition. I've tried going through Control Panel but to no avail. I just bought $43.62 worth of software and cannot use it. Can you assist?

give this a try...
install 'Revo Uninstaller'*

open Revo
locate the FW and click 'uninstall'
create a system restore point with Revo
run Revo in the advanced mode
Revo will search for the orignial uninstaller, if it can't be found - proceed with Revo
