Sorry to start as new but still finding my way around.

Have now found how to unhide files on XP, but file core.aawdef not there, cannot even see Lavasoft in Application data. Have tried to remove ad-aware from control panel, and start again. But cannot remove programme even in Administrator area.

Can some one please assist, I would be very gratefull. Thanks

Try downloading Revo and uninstalling Ad-Aware through that, run at its highest setting.

Then install Ad-Aware AE and see if any problems remain.
