Running a full scan using Kaspersky Internet Security 2009, the "vulnerability" described at the link below is reported. This is in the Ad-Aware "MIA" library.

http://www.viruslist.com/en/advisories/29434

The "fix" seems to be for the vendor (LavaSoft!) to get a newer version of 7-Zip.

I have no idea what he is reporting here. Ad-Aware doesn't use 7-zip?

I remember reading somewhere that the def files were encrypted zip archives, but that might have been about SE.

I too have had the same problem, and when I tried to uninstall Adaware I was told that mia.lib was missing or corrupt (because kaspersky had removed it).

Ad aware ran perfectly without this file, but obviously is necessary for an uninstall.

I reinstalled AdawareAE to recreate the file and thsi allowed me to uninstall it.

I too found the link with 7-zip.
