I tried to download the free version of AdAware 2008
It seems I have to sign up for a trial of a product before I can get it. So I signed up with stamps.com.
The LavaSoft screen disappeared, I'm now obligated to a third party, and I did not get AdAware.
Is this a scam? I not about to try again, I'll have to sign up with another third party. The last screen from stamps.com says I will get the free software from AdAware, but there's no way to contact them and the email they sent only refers to their product.
HOW DO I GET AD AWARE?

Hi 
first make sure that no AAW leftovers are on your system.
Now start a fresh download from MG,
Shouldn't this solve your problem , feel free to post back
