Jeff--Unable to uninstall Lavasoft Ad-Aware 2008. Stops running at Service. Saw your previous note, but could not perform. Software is XP Home, sp3. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users--then my choices are: Desktop, Favorites, Shared Documents, Start Menu and NTUSER.Dat--no "Application Data" and Ad-Aware icon is no longer on "Desktop". What do you suggest?

Addendum--Must remove Ad-Aware to be able to install new virus scan (AVG 8.5 build 278). Also, unable to remove ZoneAlarm SB.dll SB=spyblocker--appears to be the same problem. Through the Control Panel\Administrator Tools\Services (local) was able to reach Lavasoft Ad-Aware, but could not delete. Same result for C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware\aawservice.exe.

You need to be able to view hidden folders and files before you can see application data.

QUOTE
To see hidden files:

1. On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.

2. Click the View tab.

3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

Note To access Windows Explorer, click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.

I think I will edit Jeff's post to make that clear, cos I'm bored of having to keep writing this.
