So I finally bought AdAwareAE after using previous versions free and after installing it, it will not load. What am I doing wrong?

Dell Inspiron I6000
Intel Pentium 1.73 GHz Processor
795 MHz, 504 MB of RAM
Windows XP Media Center Edition Ver. 2002
Service Pack 3

Are any errors produced? Does the splash screen open?

Well, funny thing about that. I first downloaded the free version, multiple times. I was able to get the flash screen to appear telling me the program was loading, then it would just go away and nothing would happen. So that's when I thought I'd pay for it. With this installation, I can't even get the flash screen to appear. No error reports, no thing! So now I've uninstalled it for the umpteenth time. I was hoping someone would say something that would shed some light on my problem. I actually bought the program so I could get some FREE help. Looks like this forum is the only FREE help that's available. I wanted to call soemone but that doesn't look like a possibility.
