I was hoping that the 8.0.3 bugfix release will finally let me know what process fires up scans at boot-up and during the work on my machine. Unfortunately I'm still left only with a yellow box saying that "malicious process" is running and I still have absolutely no clue what is it as no scan detects anything wrong. The simplest solution would be putting the name of the process in that yellow box or in the scan log.

Yes, I checked my system with other anti-malware soft. Yes, I know I can get rid of these scans by turning off the behaviour based detection but I'd be grateful if I didn't have to cripple the functionality of AdAware for which I had paid.

So can anyone from LS tell me openly - Do you intend to do anything about it?

Hi pingling,

Have you contacted the Lavasoft Support team directly via the support center about this?

Yes, the first time in January and got a rather generic response much the same as was in the (then) pinned thread about this problem. Then in February I sent two messages to the support center via the web interface (one was about something else) but didn't get any response to them...

have you ever posted a 'HijackThis'* log ?
If not , do it biggrin.gif
If it's done; I'll prepare it for analysis.
