Hi
I have updated to the Anniversary Edition but am disappointed that there seems to be no facility to enlarge the window as was possible in previous versions.
This causes a problem in that not all the data information can be read.
Is there a way to open the window in full screen mode or, if not, will this facility be provided by an update?

Hi,
I'm afraid not. This is, for some reason, by design (we brought this up in beta testing).
However, all the data should be readable, what parts are truncated?

Hi Casey,
In an earlier post I said, "The interface is severely small and can't be expanded, so you're stuck with a tiny little GUI. It's 2009, in case the programmers haven't noticed, monitors are bigger". I suppose if this was Norton/Symantec they'd call it a feature. I call it programming limitations.
One thing you can't read is the registry location when something is found as that information is truncated. There is no option to GO to the registry location. There is an option to copy. However, it doesn't copy all the information. Worse, you still have to paste the clipboard into another program to see it before you do the Bataan Death March through the registry.
I don't know if it was to appease the lowest common denominator, but Lavasoft made AE so user friendly, they completely overlooked more advanced users who might question AE's findings before committing to their recommended action.

I agree Boyce, I think the folder paths should be completely visible, again we did suggest this

I have been beaten to the post by Boyce and casey_boy but I agree with their comments wholeheartedly. Unless one can access the full string it is not possible for the less computer literate of us (like me) to properly check out the items that a scan reveals to see whether they really do pose a threat or whether their presence is needed to run certain applications.
This is the only piece of software I have ever seen that prevents one clicking on the "square" to fill the screen. The window on my 19" CRT monitor running at 1024 x 768 is quite abysmal.

FYI
If you want to see a detailed report, go to ...
Documents & Settings/All Users/Application Data/Ad-Aware/Logs
open the current scan log.

Am I allowed to say why that doesn't work?

This seems to be a poor substitute for seeing the full data in the scan window.

This is the folder for XP, Vista is different: C:\ProgramData\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware\Logs

I don't have such a folder on my XP Home Edition SP2 PC. In fact I cannot find the Ad-Aware logs anywhere. I still think that if qa scan reveals problems that need attention then the data should be easily accessible and readable in full in the AA window - one shouldn't have to start searching around the PC for some obscure log file.

I agree. You do need to be able to view hidden folders. I think you're running XP?
To see hidden files:
1. On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
2. Click the View tab.
3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.
Note: To access Windows Explorer, click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.

We will make the entire folder paths available through the right-click menu in an upcoming software update.
