I've tried everything in this thread. If I start the service manually, it quits after a few seconds. Same as when I try to start the main program. I've tried uninstalling then cleaning with Revo Uninstaller, which was listed as successful in a pinned thread. Didn't help. I've done four uninstall/reinstall round trips.

I'll check back here (and the other forum sections) to see if this issue gets addressed and solved but I'm done messing with this for now. It's a shame. The 2008 version was quite good.

Hello. I forgot about this until today.

OS is Windows XP with SP3.
Other security software is ZoneAlarm Firewall and Spybot Search and Destroy.
None of these were changed or updated between Ad-Aware 2008 working properly and Ad-Aware AE failing to load.

Hi biggrin.gif
disable SpyBot and ZoneAlarm (probably incompatible ).
Should this also fail , try a new clean uninstall and re-install, if you need help,
post back
