I am using Ad-Aware 2007 updated to Ad-Aware 2008 Free Version.

I have not updated to AE Version because of the horror stories which I read
on the AE Support Forum!

Now I find that the Update Definitions section is not working, when I select
Update from the Definition Status Section it returns with a message that
The Definitions Are Up To Date, but the date shown in the Definitions Status
Panel is the previous update date.

My question is , Has Lavasoft decided that they will no longer support AAW 2008
or do I have some other problem ?

I am running XP Pro SP3 fully updated on a home brew machine.

Definitions Status Panel is 0146.0022, it that later than the one available on Cnet?

My Ad-Aware 2008 Edition is on Definitions #0146.0022. It was released March 11 according to this announcement 0146.0022 is now available, new definition file for Ad-Aware AE and I suppose the same Definitions apply to AA2008E?

Sounds like the "The Definitions Are Up To Date" report is correct if you have #0146.0022; what is the date you show for that?

I've never seen Raziel wrong here before, but it happens to the best of us.

Thanks very much for the info, it would seem as if my definitions file is up to date.

BTW I wouldn't suggest for one minute that Raziel is wrong, for a start I don't have enough
knowhow to say that.

The AAW2008 accident with the damaged update seems to be solved !
No new alerts so far.
Try to keep you up to date as you did it before...
If you're still in troubles with it --- start a fresh re-installation or
use cnet.

New defination 147.000 is available for "2008" also.
