I upgraded my computer from XP to Vista Ultimate, and everything works fine except AdAware AE. When I try to run it, I get a SideBySide error message from Vista. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, but get the same error message. Has anyone else run into this problem?? The specific error message (from the Event Log viewer) is:
Event 33, SideBySide:
Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware\Ad-Aware.exe". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC90.CRT,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="9.0.30729.1" could not be found

QUOTE
Side by side (SxS) is an operating system feature that allows different and potentially incompatible versions of the same application library (.dll file) to coexist on the same machine. The application library must provide relevant information to allow it to participate in the SxS schema; it sounds like an existing or new .dll has invalid SxS data.

http://www.revouninstaller.com/ - on its highest level and remove any AdAware or Lavasoft related entries.
