I am running AdAware 2007, version 7.0.2.1, on XP Home edition. Is there a way to temporarily disable it (other than uninstalling it)? The reason is that I want to see if slow response of Internet Explorer is being caused by this program. Also, in Task Manager, I am seeing a Process with Image Name: aawservice.exe showing Mem Usage: 78,996K, which is always there, even when I am not running a scan. Do you know what this process is? Is there a way I can change the settings to not have it always running?
