I have had a problem with AE that I mentioned yesterday for some reason the version on our vista basic comp would not update (connection error,check proxy settings) and came on here to mention it and was reading the posts about AE wiping comps but this is what worried me we have a laptop and I have put ad-aware on that and works no problem but for how long before it plays up ?
1 Is the problem vista basic related
2 Or is it 32 bit vista in general
Sorry Lavasoft I have been a user of ad-aware for many years SE.2007/8 and for a few weeks AE but no more until you can some sort of garuantee

Don't worry about it wiping your computer. This was a VERY specific bug that was fixed on the same day that it arose.

As for the connection error - not Vista related at all.

The very first question to ask is is it allowed throught your firewall? and are the proxy settings actually correct?
