But after install - AAW-AE tries to start, but came up with "cannot start scan search in fltlib.dll " ... and just vanishes ...
replaced fltlib.dll no difference. [ also ran Regsvr32 ... ]
[ uninstalled, re-downloaded, installed - same trouble ... checked all recommended remedies - no joy ... ]
(also ran several reg cleaners , and manual registry - and HDD scanned for anything Lavasoft & ad-aware )
uninstalled AAW-AE
gone back to AAW 2008 v7.1.0.11. - still runs and updates fine [last 2008 version - go to " FileHippo_com " ] ...
The Ad-Aware techs need to get back the KISS principle
whatever happened to the nice compact install of ad-aware, instead of this humongous bloat-ware installer now offered ...
[ even 2008 is huge at 23Mb - now AAW-AE installer is nearly 34Mb - before updates! ]

Lavasoft please re-link the previous 2008 AAW v7.1.0.11 download - until at least ALL these faults are Fully Remedied !
... instead of mandatory AAW-AE only download ...

What is with the AAW-AE tech Help topic regarding turning ON windows scripting - as a possible remedy for install problems ?!?
as this feature has been requested to be turned OFF - even from Micro$oft for years, due to malware problems ...
