Earlier today I downloaded Ad-Aware AE PLUS and I followed through the normal installation procedures.
I keep running into a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime 9.0 Service Pack 1" error and it just kills the application.
Says to download the Visual C++ manually through Windows Update, but I seem to already have Service Pack 2...
Any advice?

have you tried running windows update and seeing if visual c++ is available to download?

I think the virus or whatever I have is disabling windows update. I'm running in safemode.. this week has not been fun
