Suspicious files...

Files may be flagged as suspicious by heuristics. Heuristic signatures are used to look for attributes, characteristics or "digital footprints" in the application/file code in order to spot "malicious code". Such heuristic scans can sometimes cause false positives. The result of a heuristic scan should therefore be considered in a wider perspective and the scan should be "tuned" to a satisfactory level. Users that suspect that a file is wrongfully detected as suspicious could post the file that is detected, so that our development team could take a closer look at it in order to fine-tune the heuristics.

To turn off the Spyware Heuristics in Ad-Aware AE navigate to:

Settings -> Scanning

Uncheck the Spyware Heuristics box under the headline File Scanning.
