Hi,

I just installed the Free Anniversary Edition and I choose to scan the F: drive of my system only. It seems to be only scanning the C: drive even though in the "choose the folder" section I removed the C: option so it only has the F: drive listed and checked. Any ideas on how to scan only the folders that I choose as it doesn't seem to be scanning as I have indicated in the program. Am I missing something?

Thanks.............

Create a custom profile to just scan the f: drive.

Ad-Aware > Settings > Scanning > click the + and make a new profile.

You can choose to untick any ooption you don't want and then click select folders and choose only your f: drive

Hi Casey,

I not able to see an option to create a custom profile. After the program is open and I go to settings > scanning (scan profile settings) which is one of four tabs, on the left is a scan profiles column and the bottom of the window the plus sign is greyed out. Am in the same place in the program that you are suggesting?

Thanks............

Yes you are.

the free version should be able to create custom profiles (link), so I don't know why it's greyed out.

How about trying to edit the default profile, can you do this?

Hi Casey,

I uninstalled and reinstalled and still no option to create custom profile????

I hope this isn't an indication of the products "improvements." I have been using Ad-Aware for many years and this is the first time I have had any issues, but from reading various blogs there does seem to be some consistent problems that might need to be addressed. I do not know what to do at this point, but I wold certainly like to scan my second drive if possible.

Thanks for your assistance.....................................

Hi. I just want to add that i have exactly the same problem. Cant create custom profile. Because the "+" is grey and not clickable. But i can edit the default profile. I have three drives but even if i add all three it only scans the first drive in the list. So i have to remove the drives and add one at a time= C: do a scan, then remove C. and add D: do a scan -you get the picture. If i remember correctly the default profile also didnt include all the scan options like in a full scan.
At the moment im using Ad-aware 2008 while waiting for a "fix".

I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I do this for a living so I'm fairly savvy with programs, computers and how to repair them so it's good to see they need to address this issue.

Thanks for your input...........
