I am trying to download new definitions file 146 to my new Anniversary Adaware program
and the progress bar in the update manager hardly moves.It then cuts out and presumably stops.

Tried to download manually as you suggest but at transfer rate of around 5kbps it will take ages.

My internet broadband connection is working properly.

Is there a problem with your server?

I'm having the same problem - trying to update the old version for a scan before downloading the "Anniversary Edition." Five minutes so far, and the progress bar's just over half-way

Glad I'm not alone.

Updates took a matter of only seconds with the previous Adaware 2008 edition.

Maybe server overloaded with people at current time and not a fault with the new
Anniversary Edition.

Will attempt update later to see if problem has gone away

I imagine it will be an overload. As the updates are usually quite quick with this new version (except for the first update you perform as there are program updates included with that one).

It is the same with downloading updates to AA2008 so it probably is just a server overload.

Finally managed to download definitions file 146 around 9.00pm on 23rd Jan.

Still very slow compared to Adaware 2008 version I had before.

Hopefully just a server problem and it will work better in future.

Still I like the look of the new version although no one
has replied to my earlier thread asking how the sound is
activated in this new version when items detected.

Is this possible?
