I think I have a DNS attack trojan.
So, Ad-Aware 2008 (Free) won't update from the web (neither will AVG)
I downloaded Defs.ref and put it in the program install directory, but Ad-Aware doesn't seem to recognise it, and I can't see in settings anything to point it to them.
Please advise!

right button but wrong side.
Push the left-hand side of the green button, named Ad-Aware 2008 and download the core zip/core aawdef.
Extract it to Documents and settings/All Users/Application Data/Lavasoft/Ad-Aware*
