As instructed, I started Adwatch but it is causing more headaches than help.

Unfortunately, every time Adwatch starts (at computer startup) it wipes all the permissions I have given it the previous time...and sometimes it refuses to allow my accelerator program (from my ISP) to load properly even when I click 'allow'. We need the accelerator program to function properly as we are still on dialup and awaiting wireless high speed.

How do I get Adwatch to stop opening and running. Simply closing afterward doesn't always work to stop the conflict.

I believe you can choose to prevent ad-watch from loading;

Ad-Aware > Ad-Watch and find a setting which prevents it from loading at start up.

I can't quite remember as I have the new beta version installed. If you can't find it post back and I'll get some help or alternitavely you can contact the support center, via the link in my signature.
