The current free version of Ad-Aware 2008 detects and says it removes 8 infections. However it does not remove them - even before or after a reboot. Should it really remove them?

Hi,

The latest version of AdAware should remove Virtumonde. Could you make sure your version of AdAware is fully updated and if that fails please provide more info (what files detected etc.). It would also be useful if you could attach your AdAware log files to your post smile.gif

I cannot remove it either, and I upgraded to the pro version specifically for this. Have it fully updated, but still no go.

The Ad-Aware is 2008 @ 7.1.0.11 and the definitions were as of 12/25. I am attaching the Infections found as a text file. I have the entire log saved if you need ant thing else.

Hi, I uploaded the virtumonde infections found. but I neglected to add that clsid: {6d794cb4-c7cd-4c6f-bfdc-9b77afbdc02c}
points to cbxrkdvm.dll in windows/system 32.
cheers
