I get an error message when i try to update my newly installed 2008. It says there is no connection to internet when there actually is. Any help?

Can you check that the programme is not blocked by any firewall you may have running. Could you also check that the proxy settings in AdAware are correct.

i would check all prgrams that monitor your computer, becasuse they can block like he sayed.firewall,antivirues,first and secondary anti spyware, and any build in programs.
