Hi, I have been experiencing Firefox as well as Internet Explorer Issues. My Internet Explorer crashed immediately after opening. My real issue is with Firefox (since it's what I use most). For some reason it keeps crashing when visiting certain websites but otherwise does not crash. Whenever it crashes it gives me the Firefox Crash Reporter. I tried running Firefox in Safe Mode and saw no changes. I ran Malwarebytes and nothing showed up. I really need my Firefox to stop doing crashing, so I can continue working. Does anyone know anything about this problem, could it be a virus or what?
Please help me, I have hijackthis waiting to go, just need someone to help me out.
Thanks very much..

hi,

this could be due to a problem with an add-on which is being used when you visit these sites. try reinstalling all add-ons (such as real player, flash player etc) and then seeing if this solves your problem.

let me know how you get on,

I'm not sure if it's the add-ons that are causing the problem. Currently, the only add-on I have for Firefox is the perma-tabs.
That, and I only experience the Firefox Crash Report when visiting certain sites, such as mturk.com, amazonpayments.com, and even Bestbuy.com to name a few. I'm not sure if this is some kind of virus or just has to do with the Firefox update. Ive tried scanning with malwarebytes and even doing a system restore.
If you have any other suggestions I'd be happy to hear them. I really want my Firefox back up and running.

what version firefox are you using? I've just visted those sites with 3.0.5 with no problems. Try clearing all your cached data see if that works.

Could you also try visiting the site, restart the browser if it crashes, then click tools > error console and see what it says. You'd be looking for a red cross item.

Hey, just wanted to keep you all updated in case anyone else comes across this problem.
I was using Firefox 3.0.5 as well and tried everything, cleared cached data, ran malwarebytes, even system restored.. Finally I completely uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it and it works again with no crashes so far.
Thanks for the help and advice.
