After I did the definitions update on Saturday (12/20/08), I too receive error messages. The program will not load at all. I paid for Adaware 2007/Adwatch 2007 and still had about 250 days left. So I have two questions:
1. How can I get Ad Aware and Adwatch to load now?
2. If I were to upgrade to the 2008 version - will I forfeit the remaining paid services left on my 2007 version?
Any help and guidance will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

I think this may be why you are experiencing these problems:

Thanks for the reply Casey. Ok so essentially the 'bug' from the latest update has killed 2007 AA. That answers my first question = no way to load AA 2007 at this point. And no fix or patch forthcoming. Upgrade is the only option.
Could you please answer my other question....
If I were to upgrade to the 2008 version - will I forfeit the remaining paid services/privileges left on my 2007 version?
Thanks

hi skybubble,
firstly i think there will be a fix, no time frame though I'm afraid. But to answer your question NO you wont forfeit- you will automatically keep your license details

If you have trouble, then log into the support center and get your license sent to you again and ad-aware 2008 will accept that

I hope that reassures you and persuades you to update,
Casey
