Hi,

Which version of ad-aware are you using?

After I did the definitions update on Saturday (12/20/08), I too receive error messages. The program will not load at all. I paid for Adaware 2007/Adwatch 2007 and still had about 250 days left. So I have two questions:

1. How can I get Ad Aware and Adwatch to load now?

2. If I were to upgrade to the 2008 version - will I forfeit the remaining paid services left on my 2007 version?

Any help and guidance will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

hi guys,

I think this may be why you are experiencing these problems:

Try the suggestion and see if that works,

Thanks for the reply Casey. Ok so essentially the 'bug' from the latest update has killed 2007 AA. That answers my first question = no way to load AA 2007 at this point. And no fix or patch forthcoming. Upgrade is the only option.

Could you please answer my other question....

If I were to upgrade to the 2008 version - will I forfeit the remaining paid services/privileges left on my 2007 version?

Thanks

hi skybubble,

firstly i think there will be a fix, no time frame though I'm afraid. But to answer your question NO you wont forfeit- you will automatically keep your license details smile.gif

If you have trouble, then log into the support center and get your license sent to you again and ad-aware 2008 will accept that smile.gif

I hope that reassures you and persuades you to update,

No problem.

I will close this topic now, if you need it reopening, then PM any moderator.
