I installed ad-aware SE on my pals computer as I have recommended to a lot of people and installed it on many friends computers but this time when I installed it for some reason it has now generated a lot of problems on his system and I am now to blame. Please Help!!
What's happening is that not only does it shut down the computer when he runs it but he did a smart scan and it found 154 items and with 10 seconds before the computer shutting down he deleted them, after the machine restarted he has not been able to get onto the internet since and he thinks it has now deleted something vital that he needs. He uses a bt hub to connect to the net and it won't even let him into the controls of that.
His network still says connected but he can't receive any information and there has been a '!' over the network icon in the botton right hand tray.
He has since uninstalled ad-aware and it annoyed with me for this mess up can anyone help???
I have had it on my system for years now with not a problem.
